Rules and Regulation for Setting up Company Involve Livestock Industry in Indonesia

As a way to increase the growth and development of livestock business, the government has taken steps in the field of simplification of licensing and registration of livestock business through prevailing laws and regulations. In order to achieve the purpose of livestock management needs to develop new insights and paradigms in the field of livestock for investment, innovation, and empowerment in the field of animal husbandry continues and increased so as to enhance competitiveness and equality with other advanced nations.

Livestock company itself is a business conducted regularly and continuously in a place and within a certain period of commercial purpose that covers the activities of producing livestock, eggs, milk and the fattening of a livestock species is no exception to collect, distribute and market it for each the number of livestock exceeds the amount specified for each type of livestock on a community farm.

Meanwhile, the Company in the field of Animal Husbandry is a business conducted regularly and continuously in a place and within a certain period with a commercial purpose that includes cutting companies, feed mills and trading companies’ livestock production facilities. Each farm must follow the rules and regulation for setting up company involve livestock industry in Indonesia.

1. Approval of Principles for Livestock

  • Principle Approval shall be submitted to the applicant of the livestock business permit to be able to undertake physical preparation activities of administrative funds including related licenses such as Location Permit in accordance with applicable provisions, Foreign Workers Permit, Building Permit, Business License, Installation Permit and necessary equipment, as well as making Environmental Efforts and Environmental Monitoring Efforts in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.
  • The application for Principle Approval shall be submitted to the Regent or Mayor or an officer appointed by him in accordance with the authority by using Form Model IUPm-I.
  • Regent or Mayor or officer appointed by him or her no later than within 20 working days or time period stipulated by the Regent or Mayor or officer appointed by him or her, since receipt of the complete application as evidenced by receipt has given principal approval by using FormuliUPm-I.1 or rejected by the Model IUPi-II Form.
  • Principle Approval may be changed once per applicant’s request by using Form ModelIUPiI.1.2 and subject to the provisions of the above points.
  • Approval or rejection of application to Principle Approval is submitted by using Form Model IUPi-I or ModelIUPi-II.
  • The Principle Approval Period is for a period of one year and can be renewed once for one year and the farm must follow the rules and regulation for setting up company involve livestock industry in Indonesia.
  • In conducting Principle Approval, Animal Husbandry Company shall submit progress reports of its activities every six months by using Form ModelUPUP-III to the Regent or Mayor or officer appointed by him.

2. Rules for Determining Location and Condition of Livestock

It is necessary to note also the layout and location in the determination of a livestock company In addition to licensing to establish a livestock company. Location is where the livestock activities and supporting facilities on certain land listed in the livestock business permit.

  • Location or Farm Area. As described in Law No. 5, paragraph 1, namely, the provision of land as intended in section 4 of the input into the spatial area in accordance with the provisions of legislation. The provision of water quality standard requirements aims to ensure the quality, food safety of animal origin and the health of cultivated livestock, as well as avoid of microbial contamination and chemicals in animal products. This becomes one of the rules and regulation for setting up the company involve livestock industry in Indonesia
  • Genetic Resources, is the most important thing in the establishment of a livestock business listed in the Law of breed Article 8, paragraph 3 “genetic resources are managed through its utilization and preservation activities.”
  • Seeds, seeds and seeds. 4. Application for Livestock Business License

  • The livestock business permit shall be submitted to the Applicant who already has Principle Approval and is ready to carry out production activities, including to enter livestock.
  • An application for a Livestock Business License shall be directed to the Regent or Mayor or an official appointed by him or her.
  • Regent or Mayor or officer appointed by him or her no later than within 20 working days upon receipt of the complete application for a license as evidenced by receipt has conducted the inspection of the company’s readiness to produce in accordance with the guidance of good cultivation.
  • In the event that the inspection as referred to in point c above is not executed, the applicant concerned may make a statement fulfilling the guideline for a good way of cultivation and is ready to carry out production activities to the Regent or Mayor or officer appointed by him or her.
  • No later than twenty working days or time stipulated by the Regent or Mayor or officer appointed by him after the examination as referred to in point c or statement as described in point d as evidenced by the receipt, the Regent or Mayor or the official appointed by him shall issue the License Animal Husbandry by using the IUPi-IV Model Form or postponing it using the IUPi-II Model Form. Livestock must comply with the 3. Application for Livestock Business License.
  • The livestock business permit shall be submitted to the Applicant who already has Principle Approval and is ready to carry out production activities, including to enter livestock.
  • An application for a Livestock Business License shall be directed to the Regent or Mayor or an official appointed by him or her.
